A Very Dark Knight
Batman is always hilarious, no matter what the reason if batman is doing anything un-batman-like is automatically hilarious. I’ve had a concept for a while to do a whole series of super heroes doing mundane chores, because it seems like a really great contrast. Seeing extraordinary chatacters doing things, that aren’t awesome and can’t be glorified in any way, that everyone has to do is funny to me.
I’ve been having a good time adapting other people’s styles in funny ways. Cookie monster wasn’t a great success visually but it was a good change of pace. Old 50’s comics are a great source of inspiration because they are already hilarious by way of generation gap. There are so many issues where batman is doing stupid and ridiculous things, taking a poop isn’t too far fetched. Remember ace the bat hound?
